Michaela J. Sasse, OD

Dr. Michaela Sasse grew up on a farm near Gaylord, Kansas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Fort Hays State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. While at FHSU, Dr. Sasse was recognized as an outstanding senior when she was named a Torch Award finalist. She obtained her doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was named to the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. She was awarded the COVD Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy in recognition of her strong clinical skills in vision therapy. She was also selected as a member of the Gold Key International Honor Society, a membership designation based upon leadership, scholarship, and value to the class, college, and profession of optometry.
 
Dr. Sasse is an active member of the Nebraska Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, as well as a member of Rotary. She enjoys providing comprehensive eye care, and especially has a passion for working with children. In her free time she enjoys traveling, painting, and spending time with friends and family.
